An inspection will be carried out to determine areas of potential harbourage for ant and how antsl gain entry into your premises. Ant nests can be located either indoors or outdoors.
Treatment
The treatment for ants can consist of 2 forms of application:
1) Gel Baiting
- Gel Bait consists of an attractant. After the ants consume the bait, they bring some back to the colony and the bait is shared within the colony. Other ants are subsequently eliminated.
- Therefore ants that consume the gel bait can eventually poison large numbers of ants. Only a small amount of bait is required and it is only applied at inconspicuous areas.
- Gel dots will be replenished on a regular basis to ensure that any new ant colonies that may form will be eliminated before they become a nuisance. Also the replenishment of these dots will ensure that these ants are fed with fresh dots that enhance the kill rate.
2) Residual Spray Application
- Residual spraying is done externally to create a chemical barrier and treated zone against ants.
- The chemical when dry, leaves a residue, thus when ants crawl over these surfaces, they come into contact with the chemical and are killed.
- The chemical used is not harmful to humans and will not stain the walls or flooring.
