ORIGIN Exterminators Pte. Ltd. is honoured to announce that it has received an inaugural Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Recognition Award from Singapore Compact for CSR. The award is presented to organisations that have shown their commitment to CSR by demonstrating active CSR participation and social reporting in their industries. Additional criteria for receiving this award is being a Singapore Compact Member and a UN Global Compact Signatory in Singapore.

The award is given as part of the National Volunteerism & Philanthropy and Corporate Social Responsibility Conference jointly organised by Singapore Compact for CSR and National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) which occurs from 30 to 31 October 2007. The theme of the conference is on "Doing Good, Doing Well" as a winning formula in forging new business and social opportunities. The Guest-of-Honour is Mr Matthias Yao, Deputy Speaker & Mayor, South-East District.
The National Volunteerism & Philanthropy and Corporate Social Responsibility Conference is the conference for the non-profit sector in Singapore, including companies and government bodies that have a commitment in community giving. This year's highly anticipated dual-track Conference will address the future of Singapore as a philanthropy hub, following the bold changes to the charity tax laws earlier this year. With the growth of Singapore as such a hub, the need to develop and professionalise the people sector by way of capability and skills development is more critical than ever before. The timely issue of restoring public confidence in the sector will also be addressed. The conference will be a milestone for the corporate and non-profit sectors to explore mutually beneficial opportunities to advance their missions and serve the community. The event is expected to attract about 600 leaders from both the business and social sectors. Prominent local and international speakers will engage participants on the topic of doing good and doing well as part of CSR, and for Non-profit Organisations (NPOs), the whole business of doing good well.
In bringing the national CSR movement forward, an Inaugural CSR Recognition Award Luncheon will be held to recognise corporate efforts and best practices by enterprises in Singapore. A total of 25 organisations will receive the inaugural award in recognition of their commitment towards CSR. ORIGIN Exterminators Pte.
