How Efficient Is Commercial Mosquito Control?
Does it really work? First we have to survey the area in question. Mosquitoes are everywhere and their population is ever increasing with human population. Successful commercial mosquito control lasts at least a quarter and six months at the most. So, there is no one- time treatment that completely eliminates the mosquito problem. It is a continuing maintenance all year round!
Organic Alternatives To Commercial Mosquito Control
The sunflower is an organic insect repellent plant. It’s good to grow them in your front and backyard. Mosquitoes will not breed on them now will other insects. The “Dama de Noche”, is also an organic insect repellent tree. Its flowers give out a pleasant scent during evenings. It will naturally drive the mosquitoes away! As an alternative, it is much cheaper than commercial mosquito control.
The extract from the leaves of the sunflower will render mosquitoes and roaches immovable due to extreme dizziness. It has such a stunning effect on their nerves you can just whack them dead. The extract from sunflower stalks can kill mosquitoes and roaches almost instantly. Compare that with commercially developed mosquito control. You do need extra time and effort to get the extract from sunflower leaves and stalks, although you could just lay the leaves like mulches in your cabinets under the kitchen sink!
Commercial Mosquito Control Proper
Professionals always start surveying your area to identify and eliminate breeding habitats. After their initial survey, they may have to suggest to you to make environmental adjustments or modifications based on their recommendations. Next, they exhaust all natural means to eliminate mosquito pests which they call “biological control.” They give standard suggestions to eliminate and repel mosquitoes. Finally, they apply “direct contact treatment”, where they use chemical sprays and other chemical based solutions.
The final part concerns taking measures so that the mosquitoes won’t come back again! This portion is really never completed. It is more of continuing customer education.
