As company’s level of CSR became more mature and diversified, ORIGIN started engaging our community. From collaborative work with schools like Republic Polytechnic, Raffles Institution and Hwa Chong Institution and engagement with government on public education and joint research to participation at international conferences and seminars, the company continued to engage the industry and buyers, with a view of bringing about a shift in mindsets. ORIGIN also worked closely with NGOs such as the Environmental Management Association of Singapore(EMAS), Singapore Environment Council(SEC) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants(ACCA).
ORIGIN has always been very committed to public education. This has taken the form of seminars on pest biology and updates in pest management that have been held for service buyers across various sectors. We have also participated actively in exhibitions such as GardenTech in the past, on top of working with various associations such as the Singapore Manufacturers Association(SMA) and Singapore Institute of Architects(SIA) to present objective educational talks for their members in the interest of spreading awareness of pest management and the latest technologies involved in it.
Finally, ORIGIN has also developed the ORIJOURNAL to facilitate outreach to our immediate community of clients and other key stakeholders. This quarterly newsletter showcases all significant updates in technology and processes that the company has undertaken to receipients of this free newsletter. To further underscore our commitment to the environment, our newsletter also goes out on 100% recycled paper and is printed with non-toxic soy based ink. There is also an environmental feature in each issue and this helps us to further spread our ethos to our clients and other stakeholders.
