BugByte™ is a COMPUTERIZED QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, which incorporates the use of cellular communication capabilities for "real-time" updates & downloads of jobs relating to Pest Management operations on site.
Information related to pest infestation levels is captured through a front end Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) device. This data is then synchronized between the PDA and the web-based server. Once uploaded into the server, the data is translated into data tables, site maps and graphs, which can be viewed by both the customer and system operator over the Internet.
Benefits
- This system provides accountability for work done, time spent on site, and observations made.
It provides an unparalleled transparency of service, giving both the system operator the control to effectively monitor and track exactly what is being done on site real time. - All information from the PDA can be translated to tables & graphs, which allows the system operator and the client to monitor the infestation levels
- Time-stamps of each station inspected can be monitored whenever the field operator scans the barcode attached to that station.
- Data analysis and trending can be carried more quickly and efficiently.
- The field operator is require to follow a systematic way of inspecting and monitoring the stations as instructed by the job descriptions in the PDA.
- Allows for the setting of pest parameters. Instant alerts when these pest thresholds are breeched are made known to the client via email, sms or fax.
- MOST IMPORTANTLY - BugByte™ is a very versatile system, i.e. it can be modified to cater to the requirements and specifications of the various industries.

Key Features of BugByte™
Strategically Placed Bar Codes
Specialised bar codes can be placed throughout the site to form "stations". These bar codes can be placed to identify:
- Rodent Bait stations, Traps, Glueboards, etc
- Insects traps, bait stations etc
- UV Insect Light Traps
- Amount of chemical/pesticide used,
- Checkpoints
- Routes of chemical/pesticide applications
- And many more.......
"Station" TRACKING system. They Never get lost!
Due to the nature of the BugByte software, all the stations have to be inspected in sequence.
Hence, stations are never missed, stations are always inspected and all missing or un-inspected stations are reported. Additionally, all the "stations" are linked to Internet-Based digital maps, so that data generated can be linked to these maps and "station" locations.

Information on each station is real-time and REAL!
Questions prompted to the "Inspector" are designed to obtain the MAXIMUM amount of information using MINIMAL amount of effort.
Once all the stations are inspected, the information can be uploaded and all the data generated on site can be viewed either as Graphs or as Tables.
Specifically scanned station times can also recorded for security purposes.
Tables CAN be customised in accordance with regional/national legislative policies
BugByte™ applications
Food Industry
Food processing facilities, food manufacturers, restaurants and consultants can incorporate BugByte™ as part of their Quality Audits to ensure that their Pest Control Operators are adhering to correct pest management and inspections procedures whilst generating REAL TIME data from the site.
- BugByte™ will service as a continuous Quality Audit to ensure Pest Operators adhere to correct pest management procedures.
- All inspection policies can be aligned to current & future legislative policies.
- Monitoring/ inspections and trending of pests REAL TIME can be carried out via bar coded stations.
- Best Practices for Pest Management operations can be incorporated into each station.
- Pesticide usage within food processing plants will be recorded.
- Customisation of the system can be carried out to continuously highlight that correct levels of pesticides are administered such that they do not exceed critical limits on the MRLs (Maximum Residual Levels) as set by the Food Standards Agency.
- All this information can be translated into graphs and tables for monitoring of infestation levels.
- Bio-audit information for pests based on these tables and graphs can be generated with greater efficiency.
- SMS/Email Alerts/Fax will be provided to indicate breaches of Critical Control Limits
