Rodents are mammals, and like humans, have front teeth for gnawing and cheek teeth, which are adapted for chewing. Their teeth never stop growing, and to constantly wear them down, rodents resort to chewing on anything available to them and cause great damage in and around homes. Their biology and habits present a serious menace to your home, making them a challenge to control. Do you know that just a pair of rats has the potential to become a rat infestation of over thousands in population in just 1 year? If you’re in need of rodent control services in Singapore, here’s what you should know about these vermin:

TREATMENT METHODS

For low-population rat control, we use:

Sticky, scented boards that attract and trap rodents will be placed around activity areas. Our best practices ensure that once caught, they are humanely disposed of thereafter. We protect non target animals from landing on the glueboards, by placing the boards in protective housing that encourages rodent entry but prevents kittens and stray dogs from entering and stepping on the boards.
Discreet black boxes, containing a spring-activated device, traps and kills rodents instantly. To be attractive to rodents even when there are areas nearby with sources of food, we place extra alluring food baits with these traps to ensure a higher rate of catch success.
Baits, especially poison baits which are not allowed for indoor usage, are used only externally to target outdoor rodent species such as Norway (brown) Rats that reside mainly in outdoor burrows.

Our professional team of ORIGINators will be more than happy to advise you on how you can keep rats at bay or ensure your existing rat problem does not return with simple housekeeping tips.
