Don’t let the bed bugs bite. How many of us have used this line to tease the young ones?
In reality, bed bug bites are highly unpleasant and they rob us of a good night’s sleep. So what may seem like a clean room or bed can actually hold up to as many as a few hundred bedbugs. If you look closely, especially at the cracks and crevices around your room, you may even detect the presence of live or dead bed bugs, or even their cream-coloured eggs.
Another disturbing fact about bed bugs is that they are excellent hitch-hikers. This means that they can jump onto your clothing or luggage and travel with you. Bed bugs have been found in theatres, furniture and even hotel rooms!
As cringe-worthy as that may sound, there are ways to get rid of bed bugs. ORIGIN has Sparky the dog to do just that.
Sparky has been trained to sniff out bedbugs, while the service professionals will use a special 2-step process to end the bed bug problem. This consists of aerosol spraying and ULV (ultra-low volume) misting of the affected areas. Sparky will then patrol the area once more to validate whether the bedbugs are well and truly gone.
